Empowering Women Refugees and Asylum Seekers:

Workshops on Sexual Health and Contraceptive Methods

To celebrate World Refugee Day, the Future Worlds Center team working on the project "Strengthening Asylum in Cyprus" in collaboration with the Cyprus Family Planning Association, will be organising two interactive workshops on sexual health and contraceptive methods.

The workshops will primarily be for the benefit of women asylum seekers and refugees, but we also encourage women from different backgrounds to attend. The first workshop will be interpreted from English to French, and the second one from English to Arabic. Women who can communicate in English can attend any of the two workshops.

During the workshops, participants will be given grounding information on sexual health and contraceptive methods by experienced trainers of the Cyprus Family Planning Association, and will be have the opportunity to raise questions in a friendly and confidential environment.

When?

Workshop 1 (English to French) will be held on Tuesday the 19th of June, at 16.00 until 18.00.

Workshop 2 (English to Arabic) will be held on Thursday the 21st of June, at 16.00 until 18.00.

Where?

Both workshops will be held at the Future Worlds Center, 1st floor, at Promitheos Street 5, 1065, Nicosia. The building is only a minute-walk from the Debenhams building found in the middle of Makarios Street. Call us for directions!
